Our Story
Reichman Holdings represents the continuation of a distinguished family legacy in real estate and business development. The Reichmann family name is synonymous with some of the most ambitious real estate projects in history, including Canary Wharf in London and the World Financial Centre in Manhattan—projects that transformed global financial districts.
Shmaya Reichman, grandson of Edward Reichmann who pioneered the family's Canadian business empire, and nephew of Paul Reichmann who developed landmark projects worldwide, has taken this heritage in a new direction. After establishing the company in Israel where he was based for over two decades, Shmaya relocated to Manchester, UK in September 2022 to expand the company's European operations and strengthen ties with the UK market—a natural extension given the family's historic connection to Canary Wharf and British real estate.
The family's journey began in Hungary, weathered the challenges of World War II with extraordinary humanitarian efforts led by matriarch Renée Reichmann, and flourished in Canada where the Reichmanns built Olympia & York—at its peak, the world's largest property development firm. This legacy of building at scale, maintaining integrity through adversity, and creating lasting value informs every decision we make today.
Under the leadership of Harry Reichman, Shmaya's son who serves as CEO, Reichman Holdings has evolved into a multi-sector holding company. Following his father's footsteps, Harry relocated to Manchester in April 2023 to lead day-to-day operations from the UK. Together, they have consciously expanded beyond real estate into Technology, where we develop platforms that power telecommunications and mobility services; Agriculture, where we apply advanced techniques to scalable food production; and maintain Real Estate holdings that anchor our operational ventures.
What unites these sectors is our approach: we seek platforms with compounding advantages, invest in operational leverage, and build alongside exceptional partners. We are not passive investors—we are builders, operators, and long-term stewards of capital, continuing a family tradition that spans generations and continents.
The family's commitment to social responsibility also continues through ventures like Beth Adar, a leading nursing and rehabilitation center in Ashdod founded by Shmaya and now operated by his brother, exemplifying the family's dedication to serving communities beyond pure commercial success.

Grandson of Edward Reichmann and nephew of Paul Reichmann, Shmaya brings over two decades of experience in real estate and infrastructure development. After building the business in Israel, he relocated to Manchester, UK in September 2022 to expand European operations. His portfolio includes major projects in Israel and internationally, with connections to landmark developments including the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem.
Based in Manchester since April 2023, Harry leads the day-to-day operations of Reichman Holdings from the UK, driving the company's expansion into technology and agriculture sectors. He oversees portfolio strategy, operational execution, and capital allocation across all holdings, continuing the family's tradition of hands-on operational involvement.
